Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Berkeley, CA
Responsible for all aspects of leading this national nonprofit social justice organization, including working with board of directors; fundraising for a $500,000 operating budget; public speaking; management of all staff; development of personnel policies; program development; cultivating relationships with nationwide chapters.

Responsible for oversight of a nationwide research project on the use of contemplative practices in secular settings; oversaw program budget and goals; hired and supervised program staff; designed and conducted qualitative research; analyzed findings; communicated purpose of the project and findings to a wide range of individuals and institutions; designed and led media and communications strategy; wrote web site content.

Worked with principal investigator to implement qualitative research design on a study of communication between patients who use alternative/complementary medicine and their health-care providers.
